This nonprofit organization has a mission to preserve and protect Madrid’s historical structures and to foster cultural projects that support and promote community, provide for art, recreation and education, encourage youth projects and enhance the economic viability of this historic town.

Conceived in a local coffee shop, the Madrid Cultural Projects’ first goal was to renovate and restore the historic Oscar Huber Memorial Ballpark stadium, one of the last standing Minor League ballparks of its kind in the U.S. Since then, the group has sponsored the creation of a Madrid radio station, created a community garden with classes, hosted a garlic festival and a children’s Christmas toy drive and much more.
